Hoosier Hysteria Recap

By: T. Hood

Hoosier Hysteria allowed fans to get a glimpse of the nice blend of upper classmen and

talented core of young players on its roster. The Hoosiers held a scrimmage,

dunk contest and three point contest. They also honored the women's team by

showcasing the Women's basketball NIT banner. It was estimated that 13,000 were on

hand for this event. They did player introductions for both the women's and men's teams

individually by their class. Romeo - to no one's surpise received the loudest ovation.

Also, there were notable recruits in attendance such as Trayce Jackson Davis, Keion

Brooks and Khristian Lander on hand among others.

Juwan Morgan and Brenna Wise together won the 3-point shootout. Romeo Langford in

a duel with Justin Smith was able to come out with the victory in the dunk contest.

The scrimmage showed a few surpise standouts this afternoon. I really liked what I saw

from freshmen Jake Forrester and Damezi Anderson. Both Anderson and

Forrester were aggressive on the offensive end. Senior transfer Evan Fitzner shot it

really well and looks to be in position to have a pivotal role for the Hoosiers. There was

also balanced scoring on both teams. The White team was able to beat the Red team

29-25. Romeo Langford finished with two points, Juwan Morgan had five points but

showed off his versatility by facilitating and Al Durham showed his athleticism with his

ability to finish around the rim.

Here's a recap.
