Cam Reddish: On Wednesday night’s Team USA scrimmage/practice, Cam showed his ability to shoot from the perimeter and shoot with range. He also showcased his ability to get to the rim and be utilized as a playmaker. At 6’9 with a 7’0 wingspan, Cam oozes with potential.  However, as the week pushed forward the lingering question mark with Cam became evident- consistency. There’s no doubt in my mind that from a physical standpoint, Cam has the highest upside and could very well be the best player in the 2018 class. He’s a fluid athlete that is smooth off the dribble and has very good shooting range, but with his lack of consistency could also be a huge problem.

DG showed all week what has made him a house hold name amongst the 2018 class. DG utilized his change of speed and ability to make shots. But I think he also answered some questions regarding his ability to be a traditional point guard. He created for others and also made his teammates better. He made great decisions in pick and roll situations, outplayed fellow USA point guard Tre Jones and in my opinion solidified himself as the premiere point guard with his consistency through the week. He Finsihed the Nike Hoops Summit game with 16 Pts ( 4/7 3P ) 5 Ast, 4 Rebounds

Everyone is familiar with Bol’s ability to shoot- he’s a very good shooter that can stretch the floor. But what stood out to me the most this week was his shot blocking and shooting touch around the rim. He uses his long stride to his advantage in transition and finished very well in fast break opportunities. Bol really showed me his most upside as a rim protector. Totaling 6 blocks in the game and altering many more, Bol really could be an elite shot blocker one day with his 7’6 wingspan. Bol and Darius Garland were probably the most consistent performers all week for USA.

I really like Q’s ability to knock down shots off the catch and shoot but also off the dribble. He also gave us a glimpse of his playmaking ability in practice as well. He utilized his size and strength in the open floor.  He has a nice handle that allows him to create separation and also I believe can play on or off the ball. I was impressed with his play overall. He Finsihed the game with 15 Pts, 4 Ast and 6 Rebs

Also I would’ve liked to have seen Nassir Little and Devon Dotson play in this game. I think Darius is the best point guard in this class but Dotson is right there with him. Little’s performances in the recent all star games show that based on merit he should’ve been selected as well.
